Formal Modeling and Performance Evaluation for Hybrid Systems: A Probabilistic Hybrid Process Algebra-Based Approach

چکیده

Probabilistic behavior is omnipresent in computer-controlled systems, particular, so-called safety-critical hybrid due to various reasons, like uncertain environments or fundamental properties of nature. In this paper, we extend the existing process algebra ACP[Formula: see text] with probability without sacrificing nondeterministic choice operator. The approximate probabilistic bisimulation relation fragile and not robust sense being dependent on deviation range transition probability. To overcome defect, a novel proposed which inspired by idea Probably Approximately Correct (PAC) relaxing constraints range. Traditional temporal logics, even are expressive enough, but they limited producing only true false responses, as still logics suitable for performance evaluation. settle problem, present new evaluation language that expands quantitative analysis from value [Formula: real number reason over systems. After that, corresponding algorithms given. Finally, an industrial example given demonstrate effectiveness our method.

Process algebra for hybrid systems

We propose a process algebra obtained by extending a combination of the process algebra with continuous relative timing from Baeten and Middelburg [Process Algebra with Timing, Springer, Chap. 4, 2002] and the process algebra with propositional signals from Baeten and Bergstra [Theoretical Computer Science 177:381–405, 1997]. The proposed process algebra makes it possible to deal with the behav...

A Process Algebra for Hybrid Systems

The work that is presented here was initiated by question of a colleague from the mechanical engineering department. He was analysing several industrial manufacturing processes (a tire production line, a cookie baking line, etc.). These processes were modeled in a procedural kind of programming language (called “χ” [AvdMR94]) extended with hybrid features such as continuous variables defined by...

Modeling and Performance Evaluation of Hybrid Systems

This paper addresses the issue of evaluating the behavior of system models that involve mixed continuous and discrete evolutions of variables and have been developed by using the rectangular hybrid automata abstraction. The evaluation is based on mapping the requirements of system behavior to the hybrid automata states and checking the states that can be reached. Reaching a state requires to fi...

Modeling Systems by Probabilistic Process Algebra: an Event Structures Approach

Performance and reliability analysis of distributed systems based on formal specifications is an important and widely recognized issue. This paper treats a probabilistic version of (a subset of) the process algebra LOTOS. It incorporates a probabilistic choice assigning a probability of occurrence to each of its alternatives. Opposed to the traditional interleaving semantics used for existing p...

A tractable hybrid DDN-POMDP approach to affective dialogue modeling for probabilistic frame-based dialogue systems

Designing and developing affective dialogue systems have been receiving much interest from the dialogue research community [1]. Previous work was mainly focused on showing the system’s emotion to the user in order to achieve designer’s goals such as helping students practice nursing tasks [7] or persuading users to change their dietary behavior [6]. A more challenging issue is to develop a robu...
